Hi, I've got the same problem. I went to import my backup mail to my new kontact/kmail interface due a crash. I can not move my old mail folder to a new one. I did many akonadi_ctl restart no issue. KDE Frameworks 5.18.0 Qt 5.5.1 (built against 5.5.1) Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS HI Fixed after the command 'akonadictl fsck' Sorry to spam and borring. Thanks for your support You might want to consider if this was caused by a Qt bug that was resolved fixed in 5.8, as described in Bug 361895, Comment 1. Hi Denis I don't know if you're telling me, do you ? I mean I've got the problem on Kubuntu and the update gave me an issue. By the way I did not realize that's this case of KDE bugtracking is about Fedora platform Apologize Michel, my comment was just meant as a suggestion to anyone who investigates this bug, not to someone affected by it. The problem described by this report might be caused by a bug in Qt, not a bug in KDE. I found a Qt bug that might be the culprit, and this bug was fixed in 5.8. Jugding from Comment 3, you are not affected any more. It would be interesting to know if anyone with Qt 5.8 or later is affected. Sorry for the confusion. Thank you for the crash report. The bug was reported 3+ years ago, my sense is that the problem was
fixed, or at least, significantly improved.
I spent a lot of time with Kontact and learned a fair bit about the
app, but I finally abandoned it in favour of Evolution, which runs
well and integrates perfectly with my KDE Plasma Breeze Dark themes.
Evolution offers many of the features that Kontact provided to me as a
single user. Evolution is just much easier to configure, and thus, more
reliable than Kontact.
