app name shown when app is open

It would be nice to have option to disable showing open app name and leave only icon highlight. It can be useful when pinning apps so other icons are not moved so placement is kept. It would be similar to vertical panel orientation - names there are hidden and panel behaves like dock.

Use "Icons-only Task Manager".

Oh thank you. It seems translations are somewhat weird, that's why I haven't noticed this. I'll try to help there.

task managers settings

In the meantime I've checked both managers settings and it seems they are not consistent. It seems icon-only manager has fixed type settings to manual sorting and group always. Maybe it's worth to sync settings between two, or, if possible using Occam's razor rule, combine both into one manager with first option inside "Behavior" group:
"Show application name"

Panel hiding when grouped icon is clicked

I think there is one not-so-small difference between two task managers: grouped icons switching. Icons-only task manager hides panel when I click on icon, but then I can't quickly access windows using "title menu". Take a look @ specific window placement shown on gif. To access window you need to go to end of screen and back. It is nice with touch interface but not-so-good with mouse.
Alternatively it's possible to use "title menu", but to show it I need to wait quite long (shown on secondary gif). Maybe it's worth adding option that sets time to show "title menu" or option to disable hiding of panel that will give similar appearance to classic task manager.
