The problem still seems to be present in a newer version: apper-0.9.3-0.8.20170226.fc25.x86_64 I have a list of over 2000 updates. When I compare the versions with dnf show I can see that the version apper wants to install is already installed. Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. Created attachment 104765 [details] Screenshot When you check for updates it shows that you have 2202 updates available, but all updates are installed. See attached screenshot. Here is check for some random packages: $ rpm -q a52dec a52dec-0.7.4-21.fc25.x86_64 $ rpm -q abrt abrt-2.9.0-1.fc25.x86_64 And result of upgrade using dnf: $ sudo dnf upgrade Last metadata expiration check: 1:01:26 ago on Mon Mar 27 18:55:35 2017. Dependencies resolved. Nothing to do. Complete! $ rpm -q apper apper-0.9.3-0.7.20170226.fc25.x86_64
