Terminal shows tha VLC backend is installed, but System Settings doesn't show it.
However, Amarok Sound Settings show the installed VLC backend. |

The package you are looking at is the Qt4 version, systemsettings however is Qt5 and thus only show the Qt5 backends. |
Created attachment 104736 [details] Terminal shows tha VLC backend is installed, but System Settings doesn't show it. In the system settings, the installed VLC backend is not seen in the options... Please see the attachment. However, going to the settings from Amarok -> Configure Amarok -> Configure Phonon, VLC backend is shown. I had installed VLC backend as after installing Kubuntu 17.04 beta2, when I noted that Amarok and Dragon couldn't play mp3 and mp4 videos. Installing VLC backend solved the problem with Amarok, but not with Dragon.
