marking confirmed, fails on newer fedora releases too (where we first noticed it) Re-confimed with 17.04.0 release (and master/ branch which as of now, has no relevant commits beyond v17.04.0 tag as far as I can tell) Confirmed still an issue with kde-apps 17.08.1 release as well. Notice if this isn't fixed soon, fedora will likely have to drop this package from it's collection. Adding KPhotoAlbum maintainers. libkface has always been an optional dependency for KPhotoAlbum, and has been disabled by default since November 2016. If libkface is officially dead, we'll just remove the code that adds support for it. Coming up against this now Opencv 3.2 is in ubuntu 18.04 archive. I would echo the comments about have to remove this, and code that uses it, if no fix occurs soon. As Johannes already stated, KPA would be okay with removing the libkface dependant code (at least for now). The question is not so much about KPhotoAlbum dropping support for it - it is optional after all, and we can simply package it without opencv support. But there is no other rdep for libkface left, and if it is just not important enough for someone to step up and make it catch up to OpenCV-3.2 and now 3.3, it probably should no longer be released with KDE Applications but moved to extragear. *** Bug 387077 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
