It would be nice to have an option to clone and restore an entire disk, along with the partitition information. A compression option in this case would also be very valuable.

Yeah, I agree... I thought a bit about it too. Unfortunately, at the moment I'm a bit short on time. So this will have to wait unless somebody is willing to contribute patches. It shouldn't be too hard as there is already code for backing up individual partitions.
