Hi, 
I noticed than the audio file I loaded in my animation scene cannot link the file if I moved my project; I get a warning to try to relocate the file.
I would suggest to add a checkbox in Image > Properties that would be something like "use relative paths for files"; as Blender does.

Hi Gordie,

This seems to be fixed now. I've tested moving around a project folder with a kra document and an associated audio file and it stays linked up correctly. 

I'm going to close this for now, but if you still experience this problem or have other suggestions feel free to reopen it.
