Sentry Crash Report:

Description hardy.public 2017-02-18 16:09:43 UTC
In Geolocation Editor -> Details, I cannot enter any numbers or text into any field suing mouse or keyboard shortcut. Nor does the coordinate checkbox respond to mouse click.

It is as though the file is read-only. However, I can add Lat/Long via the Search.

Check if this problem is not fixed in digiKam 5.5.0 pre release available here :

I got it now. Looks like I have to double click to activate the coordinates checkbox.

Sorry I didn't see your reply. Will check the pre-release and report back.

Thanks Gilles. The behaviour is no different in the 5.5 pre-release. I have to double-click the thumbnail in order for the picture to appear in the preview window and allow me to switch on Lat/Long fields.

Maybe that is how you intend it to work?

Which Windows version do you use? Here under Windows7 everything works as expected, no problems.

I'm using Windows 10.

I can confirm that the behavior (and confusion) is the same in the Linux version with digikam 5.5. I also have to double-click an image (which then shows it in the bottom right of the dialog) before I can manually enter Lat/Lon for it. I was wondering why the Lat/Lon fields were disabled until I came across this report and found out that you have to double-click the image first.
