Description Bollebib 2017-02-08 12:50:10 UTC
krita should autolabel animated brushtips in the brush tip settings for easier understanding as to what a brush tip does. ,it should also auto-apply that when creating a new animated brush.

this could be done by overlaying a "movie" symbol in one of the corners of the brush tip. Other ways are possible too

in 4.0, the brush tip will now tell you if it is animated one when selected. It will say "animated mask" when you select a tip that is animated in some way. Non animated tips will just say "mask".

Dynamically adding symbols to the preset thumbnails is going to be pretty debatable, so we might want to discuss that. It will probably cover up things that brush makers have designed for their existing thumbnails. We already do that in one area if the brush is dirty. Having another icon go over the preset might start creating issues.

I talked with Bollebib and for the animated icon on the preset, it will only appear on the brush tips in the list of brush tips...not the actual brush preset itself.

The icon can probably appear in the bottom right corner, similar to how the dirty preset icon appears on brush presets.

This feature request needs an icon before it can be implemented.

Some more discussion would be nice as well, although I believe that there should be not many people against.
