Description Tristan Miller 2017-02-05 12:45:34 UTC
If Akonadi fails to start, Kontact greys out the window and displays the error message, "The Akonadi personal information management service is not operational". Below this message is a "Details…" button. Clicking on the button has no effect.

The button should instead launch a dialog window that displays details on why Akonadi cannot start (perhaps similar or identical to the output of running "akonadictl start" on the command line).

Can still reproduce with 17.12.3 of Debian Testing.
Comment 3 Samuele 2025-08-01 16:25:25 UTC
Can still reproduce in Fedora 42: recently I broke Akonadi by removing mariadb and the "Details" button nor the "FAQ" link in the message worked.
I found the same problem in Kmail and Merkuro Calendar.
