I see QtQuick/XmlListModel in the code, but we don't have a single plasmoid using that. Can you show me your .config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc file please. Created attachment 103915 [details]

I've completely similar bug. Looks like the plasma5-applets-weather-widget (1.6.8-1) crashes plasmashell. All works normally after removing it from desktop. *** Bug 376454 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 376201 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 376299 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 377147 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 377525 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 378432 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 378569 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 378660 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 379095 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 378963 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 379277 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 380039 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to Dmitry from comment #5) > Looks like the plasma5-applets-weather-widget (1.6.8-1) crashes plasmashell. > All works normally after removing it from desktop. Just updating. Issue is also related with wersion 1.6.9-1 and yr.no source. Next Crash. OK. This is also problem with second data source, so: openweathermap.org Next crash. Plasma didn't bring to life. I'm wondering why? Anyway. Great. Now I can see the voices, the claims/complains from users saying how much Plasma is not stable :-/. I reported this issue to author of affected plasmoid. Does something in API (Plasma/Qt Quick) became obsolete, and started work wrong? Or maybe this is some difference in data what are receiving by mentioned plasmoid :/ Details of my system: Application: plasmashell (5.9.5) Qt Version: 5.8.0 Frameworks Version: 5.34.0 Operating System: Linux 4.10.13-1-ARCH x86_64 Distribution (Platform): Archlinux Packages *** Bug 380431 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 380339 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 381427 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** It seems that since update Qt to version 5.9 crashes of Plasma stopped or maybe this was caused by Plasma upgraded to 5.10. Anyway I use "Weather Widget" without disruption of Plasma. Current details of my system: Application: plasmashell (5.10.2) Qt Version: 5.9.0 Frameworks Version: 5.35.0 Operating System: Linux 4.11.6-3-ARCH x86_64 Distribution (Platform): Archlinux Packages *** Bug 381722 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 381831 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 381902 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** It (weather widget 1.6.8, latest from store) still crashes on Kubuntu Zesty with backports: - Plasma 5.10.3 - KDE Framework: 5.35.0 - Qt: 5.7.1 *** Bug 381991 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** 381991 has a really good backtrace, probably enough to fix Qt. *** Bug 382018 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Happens less frequently on 5.10.4, but still does sometimes. Is there a way to completely disable Powerdevil? I unchecked all checkbox for all modes in 'Energy Saving' window + set levels to 100%, set to do nothing at critical level and unchecked to pause players in 'Advanced Settings'. There wasn't any crash for me in: Distribution: KDE neon Developer Edition Unstable Branches KDE Plasma Version: 5.10.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.37.0 Qt Version: 5.9.1 Kernel Version: 4.10.0-32-generic *** Bug 383953 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 384146 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 383190 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Created attachment 107703 [details]
