Description Alex Loes 2017-01-27 08:19:56 UTC
Steps to reproduce:

Create a new link to application (right click on free desktop->Create new->Link to Application->OK), a new icon appears in the desktop with the name Link to Application.desktop.
Now right click on this icon->Properties, the General Properties dialog appears, but it's name has disappeared.
Enter It's original name (Link to Application.desktop)->Overwrite and you will be in an endless loop. The dialog named "File already exists" pops up again and again wherever you have already chosen to overwrite the file.
It's normal behaviour should be:
1) Indicate it's name in the General properties.
2) Simply to overwrite the file with it's new properties.

Thanks for a solution

This seems to have been fixed at some point.
