when i add a rule in the configuration the default icons will be the "?"-icon
and the default colors are black background and black text here.
I didn't change those settings and restarted korn. Then my text became grey and the background black

Same for me. except that the symbol is not "?" but a default file symbol.
These default should be chosen better

All reports about korn has been closed because is no more developed and
mantained since KDE 4.2.

Moreover the is no feedback since a lot of time.
