Kdenlive 16.12.1 beta for MS Windows + FFmpeg download per instructions on https://kdenlive.org/download/

Both Project->Add Clip and drag&drop of known good (via other player/editor programs) .mp4 and .png files give 'Invalid Clip' complaint.

Please try with the actual Kdenlive version 18.08.1
