When you place one dot and then move (mouse, pen) to place second one, it would be great to have the ruler and infinity ruler mesaure the distance in pixels and show it on fly. This way i could use ruler to place exactly same lenght lines. 
That would be great help.

I'm sorry, but this is not likely to be implemented in this way: the ruler and the assistant tools serve different purposes.
