Hi Austin, Krita Sketch is an older version of Krita, with a gui optimized for tablets. We lost that gui when we updated Krita to a newer version of the development platform. At that point we also fixed a number of issues with the support for the wintab drivers for the n-trig pen, but because we had changed so much code, we could not backport those changes to Krita Sketch or Krita Gemini. We're kind of stuck now. I still want to find the time to create a new tablet gui for Krita (I've also got a surface pro), but the previous guy who tried it failed, too :-( *** Bug 375028 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** So I'm SOL for the moment. That's ok! I don't mind giving you guys the $10 for now, I just hope eventually there will be the opportunity for me to get an update or Krita Sketch (if that ever happens again) Thanks! Using Windows Ink through Pointer Input messages on Windows 8 or above is supported in 3.3.0-rc.1 (though not enabled by default): https://krita.org/en/item/krita-3-3-0-first-release-candidate/ It should work better for N-Trig Surface devices than WinTab. Krita Gemini is unlikely to be updated though... Krita 4.0 will replace Krita Gemini with a new, optional touch gui for surface devices, so we can close this bug. |
