In the former okular version the size of the fonts was adjusted to fit the size of a text field. Now filled text is often too large and seems to have a fixed size.

I think what you're describing never worked.

Can you attach a file in which you think the former okular version adjusted the font size but the new one does not?

I think you are right. It works the way it always did.
