Which version of Krita are you using? I just tested on Linux with the latest development version, and I didn't have any problem opening the file or saving it. In Platform you say you're using Linux; have you tried the latest 3.1.1 appimage? In any case, I'll send you a png and jpeg. I actually don't use a linux, I thought I'd selected Windows, but apparently I didn't. But I really think that overall, it's my laptop that's just dying. It restarts almost every time I pick it up, and even lately has just started deleting random files, literally erasing them from existence. I'd try to fix things with krita, but whenever I try using the latest version my computer puts glitches into the program such as making random lines appear on my drawing where I don't want them to be, so I'm mostly using an older version (2.9.9) since that's the only one that my computer seems to let me use, despite it now crashing every time I just press 'open' to open files. I'm hoping to get a new computer in the near future, there really doesn't seem like there's much I can do at this point. Anyway, thank you so SO much for sending me the image files of this piece. I'd spent almost 12 hours on it, so it's such a relief that I'm actually going to be able to give it to the person who commissioned me. Thank you!! Outch, that sounds like bad hardware indeed! I'm afraid there isn't more we can do about this bug then, so I'm going to close it. Good luck with finding new hardware! |
