Starting ksystemsettings5 with the translation turned on at first, then again with
LC_ALL=C ksystemsettings5
and navigating to Search > Plasma Search
shows a list of search plugins where almost every entry is disabled, except for 
Kwin, Symbols, Audio
although all entries were previously enabled in the translated ksystemsettings5.
This happens because those are the only plugins which have the same name in the german translation and untranslated. (Yes, the name is Symbols instead of Symbole.)

The list of search plugins should store the original untranslated values, and translate them when they are shown in ksystemsettings.
