It would be great if you could enable audio output to you Android Device.
Looks like it should be quite simple with PulseAudio: http://superuser.com/questions/605445/how-to-stream-my-gnu-linux-audio-output-to-android-devices-over-wi-fi

Which would give you free wireless headphones.

Not sure if it is possible to run this alongside audio on the device. That way you could hear alerts that run on your desktop on your phone even when listening to audio. This would be a really nice feature to have.

AudioRelay can accomplish this
WO Mic can accomplish this

Would be awesome to do this through Bluetooth. Audio over IP introduces a bit of a delay, which isn't bad for music but starts to get noticable when your audio needs to be in sync with your video. How hard would it be to have the mobile app function as a Bluetooth headset, or even just a speaker?

You can use your phone or PC as speaker and mic, by simply connecting one device to the other via Bluetooth settings, you don't even need kdeconnect.

I'm sorry, that is not my experience. At best we are getting a one-way audio stream from the mobile device to the computer. I am seeking to go the other direction and use the mobile device as if it were a simple bluetooth speaker.

This screenshot is the phone paired to the computer, from the perspective of the computer:

And the audio (which is how it looks with or without the phone connected):

You can see why I use bluetooth speakers. Having the phone do this means I will always have one nearby.

For comparison, here is what I see when there is a bluetooth speaker connected:

As mentioned from @evea https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374017#c0:
> It would be great if you could enable audio output to you Android Device.
Furthermore it may support local LAN- or wLAN-speakers ...
Is there any schedule for this enhancement? I'd appreciate it very much ...

As mentioned from @ npeters https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374017#c7

Anybody experiences with AudioRelay https://audiorelay.net/? What is supported, what is missing?
