Open dialog image

The Open/Save/Save as... window doesn't allow to change path nor disk unity to projects.
The "Look in" line also doesn't change the path.
At left, only appears "computer" and "username", but they are disabled to change.

Thanks for your report. How did you install Kdenlive ? Did you use our launchpad PPA, AppImage or snap package ?

Hi,
I just installed Linux Mint 18.1 Cinnamon, then I added the repository (ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable) in the "Aplication Sources", then I searched for "kdenlive" in the "mintinstall".

I think some dependencies are not correctly installed. Can you try to install the package kde-runtime, and maybe also kde-workspace-data

I did:
-kde-runtime is the latest version.
-autoremove libkf5plotting5, no longer necessary
-kde-workspace-data not availabe, but referenced for another package
"This may mean that the package is missing, has become obsolete, or
It is only from another source
However, the following packages replace it:
Powerdevil: i386 desktop-plasma: i386 powerdevil plasma-desktop-data
Plasma-Desktop kde-base-artwork"
Then I intalled these packages.

Now everything is working fine!

Thanks a lot, Jean-Baptiste!!!

The dialog shown in comment #0 is the Qt dialog, not the KDE dialog. If you are running the Plasma desktop, you need to install plasma-integration and frameworks-integration. kde-runtime is from KDE4, and won't help with kdenlive.

If you are not running Plasma, you can force using the KDE dialog by running kdenlive with the XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=KDE variable. For more information, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/qt#Configuration_of_Qt5_apps_under_environments_other_than_KDE_Plasma

In either case, the Qt dialog should not show a disabled path selector, so keeping this open until someone finds the actual issue.
