Sentry Crash Report:

Description uc 2016-12-15 17:20:05 UTC
CTL+S seems to have no effect after taking a screen shot.
The pull-down menu sticks on "save and exit"--can't change to "save"
Had to export (to gwenview) to print.

 Expected:
After screen capture, able to save as JPG and then take another screenshot without exporting to another application first.

Ctrl+S,Ctrl+Shift+S wotks for me in master build from sources, Neon devel gitunstable + Ubuntu 16.04.1 with spectacle 15.12.3.
Please provide more info (version of spectacle, distribution etc)

dMy error. I missed a change in the screen on CTL+S because it happens only the first time after a new screen shot: the Discard button changes to Quit. But there is no dialog for a choice of directory where it should be saved, which I miss, or choice of format.
Reading further in the forums, I noticed a comment about the automatic choice of .../user/Pictures as the location to save screen shoots. Eureka, there they are. But in PNG, not the more desired JPG.
So this report should go to the wish list. As things stand, I'd like to go back to KSnapshot which let me put (more usable) JPG files into the appropriate directory for each domain I manage.
Using Spectacle 15.12.3-11.4 from openSuse 42.1 with KDE.

Sounds like the original issue is fixed now. UC, please open new tickets for other issues.
