Description jonsgough 2016-12-11 19:51:19 UTC
With KDevelop 5.0.3 the order of the tools on the bottom dock and left dock change each time KDevelop is started. All tools are there, but the order of them changes. This makes finding the tools easily more difficult and distracts from the work at hand.

I can confirm this for Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch), which comes with KDevelop 5.0.3. The behaviour is indeed confusing. :-/

Comment 3 Alexander Dahl 2023-01-18 08:41:55 UTC
Could not reproduce with KDevelop 5.3.1 on Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster).
Could not reproduce with KDevelop 5.6.2 on Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye).
It's still reproducible with KDevelop 5.0.3 on Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) however.

Not sure how hard you want to search when this got fixed (by accident?) though. ;-)

Checked order and with 5.6.1 on Ubuntu the issue does not occur any more.
