I am accessing KSTARS and EKOS running on an ubuntu pc remotely via VNC running on my win-10 desktop. All ubuntu staff and applications run perfect but keyboard inputs to EKOS and KSTARS are screwed up completely (not just the normal issues like wrong keyboard layout).

This is not a KStars problem. Any other KDE application that works OK with the keyboard over VNC?

Other users reported this is a problem with TightVNC. To solve it, use TigerVNC.
