Hello,

I use openSUSE 42.2 with Plasma 5.8.3, Dolphin 16.08.3 and Konsole 16.08.3 (
KDE Frameworks 5.26.0 Qt 5.6.1 The xcb windowing system) and zsh 5.0.5 (x86_64-suse-linux-gnu) as the default shell (login shell)

When I open a terminal panel in dolphin it opens and closes instantly; The terminal displays:
Cd / home / olivier / dir ...
^ @ Clear
^ @

The prompt does not appear.

I have no problems in kate Krusader Yakuake or Konsole but the first three do not take my konsole default profile into account and create their own in ~ / .local / share / konsole.

I tried using Bash as login shell and there is more problem!

I think that something crashes in konsolepart and Dolphin with Zsh but I do not know what this can be ... in any case not my zshrc because I saved it in zshrc ~ and logout login without any effect.

i am experiencing the same issue on leap 42.2 & dolphin 16.08.2

Might this be a packaging issue?

Hello Killian,

I think this is actually a zsh packaging problem because I was able to solve this bug by installing zsh 5.2 (x86_64-suse-linux-gnu) from http://download.opensuse.org/ Repositories / shells / openSUSE_Leap_42.2 / repo.shell.

Nevertheless it is possible that there is a problem in the code of Dolphin or Konsole part.

I hope this post will allow you to solve this Dolphin crash.

the problem was solved in a a recent opensuse update. I am not sure which package it was, i just noticed that it works fine now.

Experiencing the same problem on openSUSE 42.3, Dolphin 17.04.2. Packaging again? (o_O)

Fixed with zsh 5.3.1 from the shell repo, so probably to be fixed downstream.
