Dolphin forgets the size of icons.

Whenever the size of the icons is changed, Dolphin does not remember the changed icon size, even otherwise stored in the defaults.

Do you change the icon size in the Configure Dolphin > View Modes settings pages or using the zoom slider?

Both.

Both with same result. The size does not survive a restart of Dolphin.

Actually, nothing is saved done in "settings".

Do you have the file ~/.config/dolphinrc ? Can you check if it changes when you change something in the Dolphin settings dialog?

this was the right path. The file was owned by root (as some others also). I changed the owner to me. No it works. Thanks a lot.
