A photo taken on a phone, say of a chair, then passed to the Ubuntu workstation and opened, shows the chair 90 degrees rotated.  In the file viewer on the workstation that preview icon shows the chair normally as photographed.
Rotating and saving the photo does not however change the file viewer icon preview.  Minor flaw just adds and extra step to my editing every time.
