At least on my machine, when an asset name is too long to fit into the narrow middle column, the name as well as the description of that application flow over the right border of the column (see the Plasma Desktop Widgets category for some examples, but it affects also applications).

Make sure the application delegate doesn't overflow when the view is narrow

Let the resource name size change if there's not enough space
Hide the categories when the view too small to show them
