See video in URL field for example.

When I go to the top-right corner of a video clip and drag it to the left to create a video "fade out" effect, the entire clip gets moved to the left in the timeline, slightly. This shouldn't be the case -- the clip shouldn't move at all.

Bug discovered while using Kdenlive 16.11.70 git master via ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-master, Ubuntu 16.10 x64, Unity 7.5.0 desktop environment, KDE Frameworks 5.26.0, Qt 5.6.1

Sorry, "Fade to black" effect, not fade out.

Thanks for your report. I noticed the issue yesterday (it was also affecting any keyframe move). This problem should have been fixed by a commit I made yesterday. Can you try updating to the latest kdenlive version in kdenlive-master PPA to see if it is solved ?
