Package: kppp
Version: KDE 2.2.2
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Hi

Something that I regularly find happens to me is when I have connected to the internet using kppp and then either log on as another user or kicker crashes or something else happens whereby I lose the connection monitor with it's flashing green lights in the system tray. The only way that I can retrieve it is by disconnecting (using poff) and then reconnecting using kppp.

It would be useful if kppp could detect that a ppp connection already exists and somehow reestablish the connection monitor without the need for disconnecting and reconnecting.

This project is unfortunately no longer maintained.

If a new maintainer wants to step up and take care, the project is archived here:

https://invent.kde.org/unmaintained/kppp

You can just clone it in your private namespace on invent.kde.org and if you have started to work on it and fixed/implemented something get it reviewed and the project unarchived.

Sorry for the inconveniences.
