Here is the same screenshot without the Embedded Advanced Text Editor preview. It is unusable compared to the proper highlighted version.
Konqueror is still the KDE4 version, so you also need KDE4 version of Kate installed to get the Kate part. |
Created attachment 101983 [details] Embedded Advanced Test Editor Preview screenshot KDE Frameworks 5.27, including Konqueror Version 4.14.24 Using KDE Development Platform 4.14.25 Embedded Advanced Text Editor preview is missing. The only text preview offered currently is the okular preview which is wholly ill-suited for viewing code or other text that uses syntax highlight. When a code preview is requested, it should provide katepart syntax highlighting color configurable in the settings. A screenshot is provided showing the prior syntax highlighting provided by this feature.
