Position the timeline marker on the timeline.
Select a track.
Select extract frame from the dropdown in the project monitor.
Choose a location in the directory structure.
Name the file.
Click save.

There is nothing created in the selected location or anywhere else on the drive.

Also: I am showing that I'm running 15.12.3 not 15.12.2 but that wasn't an option in the Version select list.

Hi,

i checked this with kdenlive 16.08.2 and it works great. So update to the newest stable version please. If this is not working in a older version i think there is no chance to fix it.
Just update and enjoy the feture. :-)

Regards, Oluja!

I have upgraded to 16.08.02 and you are correct that it is working there. However, 15.12.3 is what comes as part of the standard repository for Ubuntu 16.04. One must use the ppa to upgrade beyond that. I didn't know if the team made bug fixes for those cases or not.

Since they do have version 15 in the Version dropdown I thought that they may still be maintaining it.

Only latest version is maintained, as stated on Kdenlive's web site.
