Description loki 2016-10-25 08:21:28 UTC
K3B Version 2.0.2
in Left GUI-window is no root- or home-folder visible.
Only optical drives are displayed

Situation:

I'm using K3b on
"Linux mint-17.3 Mate 32 bit"
The System is running in full-installed-mode from an portable device via usb.
So it is usable on many differend hardware.
That works pritty well, even with usb 2.0.

For the System I createt 3 accounts.
One for GUESTs with low rights
One for ADMINISTRATION with full rights.
One for me as MAINUSER also with full rights.

That GUI-Problem with the missing HOME- and ROOT-folder ( missing any folder ) in the left window of K3b exists only on the MAINUSER account.

In the 2 othere accounts are no problems with K3b.
The GUI is fine.
All so if I start K3b from MAINUSER account as administrator.
The GUI is fine.

I think the problem happent while upgrading from 17.2 to 17.3.
But I'm sure about that.

How I tryed to fix the problem ( without succes ):

- uninstall and install K3b
- delete k3brc in /home/user/.kde/share/config
- replace k3brc in /home/user/.kde/share/config
- replace k3b in /usr/bin
- delete .kde in /home

All that did not help.

Please send me a workaround as email.

Create an new MAINUSER account is not an option as a solution.

Thanks
Greats
Loki

Reproducible: Always

Hi.
Thank you for your answer.

But Thats to fare, to high for me.
My knowledge is done with installing an deb-paket.

But i think there is no need to install a higher version.

K3B Version 2.0.2 usualy shows fine the HOME- and ROOT-folder,
like its displayed on the other two user-accounts.

It's just broken on that one Main-user-account.

So i only need advise how to fix it.

Greetings
Loki

Hi, Leslie.
Thanks for your help so far.
So I'll wait the release k3b-2.10.0.
And I'll hope it'll be an deb-package, like you wrote.

Loki
