I am using KDE Connect version 1.0.1-1

Would love the ability to control the system volume, not particularly a media player's volume.  I will listen to youtube mixes from firefox and sadly the media controls can never find a media player :(

Also if you use the plasma browser extensions (for chrom[e/ium] and firefox) you will get MPRIS information out of your browser too, which is also pretty relevant here.
