Same happens to me when I disconnect the cable. Well on android (its linux) phone i have the same- while something is plugged in, it works from there. So if theres no need to plug something additional- unplug it! You might think it will move sound to last connected device, but what about people who want to have audio thrue heaphones but picture on HDMI? They keep headphones jack in. Or if its music some sort of device only then you plug it in. Try Does connecting monitors and then running this in terminal fixes? xrandr -q |
