HDMI sound settings not saved when selected so that when the screensaver kicks in the sound has reset to analogue.

All other HDMI settings saved correctly (Audio & video -> Device preference and Audio & video -> audio Hardware setup)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set Audio volume -> configuration -> HDMI output or HDMI output analogue input
2. Sound works from HDMI monitor speakers
3. Screensaver kicks in, after screensaver -> No sound from monitor speakers
4. Sound setting has been reset to Audio volume -> configuration -> IEC958

Actual Results:
Sound works from HDMI monitor speakers

Expected Results:
Sound works from HDMI monitor speakers

Same happens to me when I disconnect the cable.

Well on android (its linux) phone i have the same- while something is plugged in, it works from there.
So if theres no need to plug something additional- unplug it!
You might think it will move sound to last connected device, but what about people who want to have audio thrue heaphones but picture on HDMI? They keep headphones jack in. Or if its music some sort of device only then you plug it in.
Try Does connecting monitors and then running this in terminal fixes?
