Description duott.daenur 2016-10-17 19:43:48 UTC
KDEConnect can't see my Android smartphone on Neon 5.8.1.

KDEConnect works perfectly with Kubuntu 16.04 and 16.10, all the rest being the same, and doesn't work in another house (different phone, router and PC with Neon 5.8.1 installed), so it must be Neon-specific.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open KDEConnect
2. It doesn't show Android device
3. KDEConnect on Android phone doesn't "see" desktop either

Actual Results:
PC and phone can't see each other

Expected Results:
PC and phone are able to see each other in KDEConnect

Works for me. KDEConnect is annoying fussy about needing the latest versions of both kde and android version to talk to each other, there's no error message if they are incompatible versions. I have KDEConnect 1.4 from FDroid on my phone and 1.0.1+p16.04+git20161021.0032-0 on neon dev/unstable

two testers just confirmed it works with User Edition too
