Description David Brooke 2016-10-11 02:22:59 UTC
Conky (version 1.10.x) will not start using System Settings>Startup and Shutdown>Autostart. After bootup is complete the conky doesn't display. Ksysguard (system monitor) is used to verify that conky is not running. Start conky using konsole by entering "conky" and the conky is properly displayed. Other services can be started using the "Autostart" method. There were no issues with starting conky using plasma 5.7.5.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Goto System Settings>Startup and Shutdown>Autostart>Add Program
2. Enter "conky" and select ok to complete entry
3. copy .conky file to ~/username
4. Reboot

Actual Results:
Conky isn't displayed because conky service isn't started.

Expected Results:
Conky is displayed upon bootup completion because the service was properly started.

The resulting failure was reproduced on the following:
Gentoo stable amd64
Plasma 5.8.0
KF5 5.27
Apps 16.08.1

Neon 5.8
Plasma 5.8.0
KF5 5.27
Apps 16.08.1

This is fixed in the rewrite which will be released in Plasma 5.20!
