digital clock in plasma 5.8.0
Same thing here. Additionally, clock settings allows to change the font family but not its size. Alternative, with a HiDPI display, the digital clock text is huge, and the notification icons no longer scale larger than extremely small, see the difference between the notification icons and the power widget. my clock is ok,but icons are too small
Arch Linux on Plasma 5.8 here, on a ~168 DPI monitor. Regardless of the clock font, the clock is tiny. However, if the panel height is changed to a certain size, the clock's size suddenly jumps up. Here's a video demo: https://fratti.ch/tmp/plasma58_clock.mp4 (1.6M H.264 yuv444p10) Found what caused the bug, it seems removing pixelSize: 1024 is causing the jumpiness. https://github.com/KDE/plasma-workspace/commit/9016eaae22db317811f5fdae29bdeba594cf6310 https://streamable.com/h0l0 * Tested with default * Restarted plasma to apply the changes (readding pixelSize) * Tested with pixelSize I'm using KDE Neon, so my Qt is 5.7.0 Created attachment 101473 [details]
reverse diff of D1974
(In reply to Chris Holland from comment #9) > Found what caused the bug, it seems removing pixelSize: 1024 is causing the > jumpiness. > https://github.com/KDE/plasma-workspace/commit/ > 9016eaae22db317811f5fdae29bdeba594cf6310 i can confirm, that the reverse diff of D1974 fixes the problem here on top of plasma 5.8.0 on gentoo (qt 5.6.1, frameworks 2.26) *** Bug 370030 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 370030 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Can we please restore some sanity to this? :) User definable font sizes for both date and time would be very much appreciated, not only by myself, but I feel sure quite a lot of other users also. Same thing on Fedora 25, applying https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=101473 fixes the issue. downstream bug https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1007706 *** Bug 373639 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** There have been changes to the font size of the clock for Plasma 5.9. Feel free to re-open if this issue still persists with this version. Now it is too big :) But I found the line in the QML file to adapt to my liking. I repeat my remarks in comment 14 :) (In reply to Christoph Feck from comment #19) > Now it is too big :) But I found the line in the QML file to adapt to my > liking. What is the line, tell me please! there are bugs Bug 375969 and Bug 375966 which handle size issues with the 5.9.0 clock. |
