Sometimes when I minimize programs or close a program the taskbar is messed up. There is just the icon showing of open programs and some free space in between. See pictures...

The empty box is a open terminal which is minimized. 
The Firefox Icon to the left shouldn't be there because it is open as you see.

Here the Icon of the open Firefox ("Logout ...") is missing and the firefox icon to the left of that is too much like in "Picture of taskbar 1".
The firefox Icon to the far right is actually torbrowser, which should have the normal tor logo.
The icons on the far left are "fast start icons" (Schnellstarter) or whatever they are called.

Here you see some strange free space in between the Fast Start Icons.
And there are again the icons for firefox and okular, which are both open, without the description.

Unfortunately without steps to reproduce there's not much I can do with the report.

It might help if you could attach a screenshot of your applet's config dialog, or the config from the rc file though.

Could you tell me more precisely which files you need. Until now I did not find a way to reproduce this. It seems to happen quite randomly but very often (one or two clicks can be ok and it hits again).

There have been a lot of Task Manager fixes since Plasma 5.7 Any chance you can try out 5.11 and see if this still reproduces?

The Problem still exists with plasma 5.8.6.
I can't test it with 5.11 right now.
