I can confirm slow opening of massages in kmail. Usually these are messages with big audio or image attachments. I also can confirm that attachments are not shown in the header of the message. I forgot to mention that I'm using Chakra Linux with kmail 16.12.0 akonadi 16.12.0 But this behaviour already prevails for a while. Thank you for reporting this bug in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version? If you can reproduce the issue, please change the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you! Recently Kmail, or Kontact respectively, are slow in opening mails. I'm not sure if this only holds true for IMAP accounts and/or has anything to do with the original bug. But I'm definitely sure that the attachment problem prevails. In some mails attachments are shown in the header as well as at the bottom of the mail text and sometimes - less frequently - only at the bottom. The latter might cause overlooking attachments. Maybe I should mention at this point, that I "prefer text to HTML" and chose "smart" attachment representation.
