the thumbnail does not show the content of the windows when minimized, 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open any application
2.minimize 
3.pass the mouse on the icon minimized

Actual Results:  
mini windows is showed with a icon of the app inside

Expected Results:  
mini windows should be showed with the content of the windows, e.g. firefox with facebook page open

Which Plasma version are you using?

i was testing plasma 5.75 (5.8 beta) on kde neon

System settings -> compositor -> keep window thumbnails: Always

Though there's a reason that's not on by default and that's not changing.

Very good, i did not know about this configuration, less work for you guys
