Description slartibart70 2016-09-21 20:35:04 UTC
I am pretty sure i have already seen some settings for the configuration of the OSD popups, like
- audio volume (using media keys)
- brightness (using hardware keys)
- mic on/off
etc.

There had been options for the size of the OSD and the time it was shown before it faded away.
I was looking through (hopefully) all systemsettings entries and investigated in every option to kcmshell4 and kcmshell5.... but it's gone...

Am i missing something or has it disappeared in 5.7.x ?
Any hint would be appreciated :-)

Reproducible: Always

maybe helpful: the computer i was referring to (media/hardware keys) is a lenovo laptop t420.
I am using the fn-<key> keys or the special media keys of this machine for the osd popups to appear.

Those options never existed. I just checked the OSD code logs, and it never loaded anything from a config.

I'm not quite sure what you might be thinking of.

If you have any specific bugs regarding OSDs please reopen this with some extra info as to what exactly is problematic.
