Description tenney 2016-09-12 22:31:50 UTC
Shift+H for the Hello example should produce "Hello". When using the keyboard shortcut it produces "hello".

I tried to add my own custom keyboard inputs and "Shift+" always fails to produce the shifted result.

The interesting thing is it seems to fail only in kde applications. I use a few shortcuts like this to use specifically in konsole which fails. If I use the same shortcut in something like chrome it works as expected. This was also failing in fedora 23 and in arch linux with plamsa 5.7.4.

fedora 24: khotkeys-5.6.3-1.fc24.x86_64
arch: khotkeys 5.7.4-1

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to system settings in kde->shortcuts->custom shortcuts
2. Add to any group, Edit->New->Global Shortcut->Send Keyboard Input
3. Add any keyboard shortcut under trigger
4. Under action add "Shift+H" and apply
5. Use keyboard shortcut in konsole or kwrite etc

Actual Results:
h

Expected Results:
H
