KAccount is KDE desktop service only. What's about other Linux desktops ? What's about Windows and OSX. We need a general password storage service. Gilles Caulier i assume you made an error. you mean "a general online accounts service" anyway you can improve today and not in the future the user experience and save maintenance work for developpers: unify inside digikam google signin: today we must signin one time for picasa and one time for google drive >i assume you made an error. you mean "a general online accounts service"
No. a general accounts service provided by the desktop to store login information. KAccount is the solution for KDE only desktop.
Gilles Caulier
Thanh, This file still valid with your GSoC 2018 devel branch ? Best Gilles Caulier Gilles, I think yes, because O2 always brings user to login page and it doesn't take care of account stored locally by any means. Thanh. Maik, Thanh, For this entry, i think we don't need KAccount (and we don't want another KDE dependency for that) As i can see the new code in git/master have a class to manage account with O2 library. Right ? If yes, this file can be closed ? Gilles then i close it |
