Package: kate
Version: KDE 2.2.2
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

It would be nice to be able to find and replace characters such as tabs or hard returns. If this is already possible perhaps documentation could be added to the help file? This functionality would make it possible to search for a string and break it into two lines or to find instances of something at the beginning or end of a line.

Replaced caitrin_t@yahoo.com with null@kde.org due to bounces by reporter

Bug 135942 is very similar, but for KWord instead of Kate
