Hello,

The Monokai color scheme is one of the best syntax highlighting. It will be awesome if it can be add to Kate. A 1:1 Kate implementation of the Sublime Text Monokai color scheme would be perfect and may bring more users to Kate and KDE !

There is some Monokai color scheme that exist but unfortunately none of them come close to the Sublime text one but maybe used as a base:

https://github.com/ispmarin/kate-monokai
https://github.com/tommodore/monokai
http://kde-files.org/content/show.php/Monokai?content=164964

Thanks !

Reproducible: Always

Kate's default style list was extended starting from Kate 5.
Looking into the .kateschema file, we find several default styles under "[Default Item Styles - Schema monokai]".

However, meanwhile, there are now 17 more default styles, see: https://kate-editor.org/2014/03/07/kate-part-kf5-new-default-styles-for-better-color-schemes/

Since the proposed files are missing these styles, it's not possible for us to add this color scheme as is, sorry. Please provide this info, so that we can consider adding this again.
