I use a laptop with touchscreen, ctrl and shift keys do no effect to select items using toushcreen

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open dolphin and press ctrl to select random items
2. or press shift to select items in sequence
3.

Actual Results:  
selection is undone when user selects the second item while press ctrl or shift key

Expected Results:  
random selection must work when I press ctrl and selection in sequence must work when I press shift

I meant hold ctrl/shift key, not "press". Sorry.

Is this issue only visible in Dolphin or also other Qt applications?

Same problem with smplayer. I cant select items from the playlist.

I suggest to report this to Qt developers directly via https://bugreports.qt.io/
I do not know if translation of touch events to mouse events happens inside Qt, or even lower layers.
