Can anybody confirm that such a crash has happened to them with a newer version of Dolphin? Thanks! It'd be great if we could confirm the status of this bug. Has somebody been able to reproduce the crash with a newer version of Dolphin? Noto reproduced at this time under KDE 5.12.5, with Kubuntu 18.10 Cosmic updated daily. I do not know the exact version that this bug was fixed in, but nobody has been able to reproduce it with a version newer than 17.12.3. If you still encounter this crash with a version newer than 17.12.3 (preferably 18.12.x, as this is the newest version right now), please reopen this report. Thanks! Created attachment 117947 [details] attachment-13836-0.html I reported it happen on 18.04, i moved my OS because it keeps happeing. baloo also just DOES no want to work. If you install debug, everything goes to hell. Ah, I've just seen that there is indeed a bug report with the same crash cause that happens with Dolphin 18.04. Would it be possible for you to install Dolphin 18.12 on your current system and try if you can reproduce the bug? We will of course reopen this report if the crash is not fixed, but it'd be great to have confirmation that the bug does still exist. For your baloo-related problems: You might want to seek help on #kde or alternatively disable baloo temporarily with 'balooctl disable'. Hope that helps! Thanks! the question is are the newer versions even stable, or still in beta, and if they are stable why are they not released? the Software center still reports the latest version as "4:17.12.3-0ubuntu1" in my kubuntu 18.04. and then how am I supposed to get a newer dolphin? is there a .deb lying around somehwere? Created attachment 117958 [details] attachment-22212-0.html I'll try it when I can.
