With KDE4 desktop I could click on the system load viewer applet and the system activity window appeared (same as using Ctrl+Esc keys).

This no longer works with plasma5

It does work after login, but it stops working after a while. Related: bug 364916

Since I already have my own desktop shell, liquidshell, I don't care any longer.
