Outlook Express 6 mails can't be imported. While in general it is said to be the same format as OE 5, this is not true. I can't import OE6 mails, and I'd *really* want to do this. Is this planned, or is it already possible and is it just not working for me? I'd appreciate it very, very much if the kmailcvt-developers could reply here giving more information about this. Thanks, Ludootje ludootje@linux.be I successfully imported mails from outlook express 6.0 but i had to delete some received mails before that cause the import filter to crash. deleted mails were two from yahoo in html and 3 with receipt requets. all other 390 received mails for 2002 were imported. hope this helps. Well, it doesn't work... in my case it doesn't crash, it just says it's not a valid .dbx-file. I don't know how to fix this at all :/ There are mails in HTML though, I'm pretty sure of that. Did kmailcvt literally crash for you or did it just not work? If I need to manually remove all HTML mails that'll take quite some time, the file is over 3MB's... Hi, i know what you described about "not a valid dbx file" msg, it happens with empty OE folders, in this case i created another folder with only two files inbox.dbx and sent items.dbx and imported from using kmailcvt. about the crash, i should describe it as a freeze on the messages i talked about later. just remove them, you'll see where the problem occur , ie in which msg the import stop and delete it or the msg which is just the next from your windows and reboot to linux to try the import again. hope *** Bug has been marked as fixed ***. |
